local filename is the name you wish to call the file on the
access point. The name must include a
segment number or name followed by a
colon. An actual filename is optional. If only
the segment name is supplied, the
filename is set equal to the filename that is
embedded in the file header on the server.
Example
The following command gets file access point.DNL from a directory on a
PC server with IP address 1.2.3.4 and stores it in the inactive boot
segment on the access point.
tftp get 1.2.3.4 c:\startup\access point.dnl ib:
Note
You must use the fe command to erase the segment before you
execute a TFTP get command. If you do not erase the segment, you
may get a "can’t write file" error.
The following error messages may be generated by the access point
when the access point issues a TFTP get command. Other error
messages may be returned from the server and displayed by the access
point. See your server documentation for additional information.
Error Message Explanation
Can’t write file The file may be too big.
The file may not have a access point file
header (filehdr.exe).
The file name may be incorrectly formed.
The file may already exist in the segment
and cannot be overwritten. You must erase
the file first.
Invalid opcode during read This error should not occur under normal
operating conditions. This error indicates a
TFTP protocol error that will not occur
when you use TFTP servers that conform to
the protocol.
