SHOW GBIC VENDOR MODULE

Syntax

show gbic vendor module=number|all

Parameter

module Specifies the GBIC port number whose vendor

information you want to view. The number can be

from 1 to 8. You can specify more than one port at

a time. You can specify the ports individually (e.g.,

2,3,5), as a range (e.g., 6-8), or both (e.g., 2,4,6-8).

To view all ports, use ALL.

Description

This command is used to display the vendor information of the GBIC

modules in the GBIC slots of the multiplexer. The type of vendor

information that you can display includes:

❑ Vendor name

❑ Vendor IEEE company ID

❑ Vendor part, revision, and serial numbers

❑ Vendor date code

Examples

The following command displays vendor information for the GBIC

module in Ch3:

show gbic vendor module=3
