10BASE5 (AUI) Connection

The AT-1700AT offers both an RJ45 and an AUI port. (See

Figure 7 and Figure 8.)

Direct Transceiver Connection

In Figure 7, you see a drop cable from a remote transceiver,

typically on a thicknet backbone. In Figure 8, you see the

transceiver installed directly on the AUI port. Installing the

appropriate ATI transceiver from Table 6 on the AUI port allows

you to interface with the medium of your choice.
