AT-MCM02 Management Module Installation Guide

Variables:

SetString: Specifies the Set community string for the media converter.

GetString: Specifies the Get community string for the media converter.

TrapString: Specifies the Trap community string of the management

station to receive traps from the media converter.

Examples:

The following command sets the Get string to public, the Set string to

private, and the Trap string to trap:

SET SNMP COMMUNITY GET=public SET=private TRAP=trap

You can also set the community strings individually. The following

example sets the Get string to Restricted:

SET SNMP COMMUNITY GET=restricted

SET SNMP MANAGER Command

This command is used to specify the IP address of a management station that

is to receive traps from the media converter.

Format:

SET SNMP MANAGER=IPAddress

Variable:

IPAddress: Specifies the IP address of the management station to receive

traps.

Example:

The following example specifies the IP address of the management station

as 192.10.10.10:

SET SNMP MANAGER=192.10.10.10
